Publications/Resources

The ADSS produces a number of publications which help to disseminate important information to policy makers, health professionals, primary care networks and the public.  You will find reports such as the Alberta Diabetes Atlases, and additional resources such as 1-page reference sheets, posters and newsletters.  Peer-reviewed publications are also available.

Reports

The Alberta Diabetes Atlases are compilations of facts and figures about diabetes and its comorbidities over the last decade.  It provides diabetes trends over time, across age and across Alberta health regions.  This Atlas is a product of the Alberta Diabetes Surveillance System (ADSS), a partnership between the Institute of Health Economics (IHE) and Alberta Health and Wellness (AHW).

In order to be of use to those who need to make important health policy decisions, we have summarized key facts into the following resources.

Peer-reviewed Publications

In addition to presenting ADSS information at national and international conferences, and around the province, we believe that contributing to the growing body of diabetes literature, with a public health focus, is an important contribution.
